Load shedding prognosis remains the same

Performance of national power plants dictate load shedding.

Eskom this morning confirmed that the load shedding prognosis for today remains medium to high dependent on the performance of the power plant.

The company continues to urge consumers to use electricity sparingly to ease pressure on the national grid.

In addition the company has confirmed that chairman Zola Tsotsi has stepped down.

In a brief statement released this morning, the company said a constructive discussion was held between Eskom’s board and Tsotsi yesterday, where he has agreed to step down as both a director and chairman.

On behalf of the board, Doctor Ben Ngubane thanked Tsotsi for what he’s called ‘the selfless decision’ and has wished him well in his future endeavours.

Eskom said Tsotsi decided to resign so that Eskom can focus on managing the power crisis and providing reliable energy.
