Free WiFi at all SANBS donor centres.

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) continuously looks for ways to improve the donor experience.

With this in mind it was recently announced that, as of March 16, all 87 donor centres around the country will be offering one hour free WiFi to all donors.

“We know that many of our donors spend much of their time on social media platforms and downloading other applications, and now, compliments of SANBS, they have 60 minutes of free access to the internet,” explained Vanessa Raju, national communications manager for SANBS.

All those who donate blood at any of the donor centres will receive the one hour free WiFi every 56 days, or on their next visit to donate blood.

Donors who donate platelets will receive their free access for an hour every four weeks or their next visit.

With the introduction of the free WiFi, the SANBS encourages donors to take “selfies” of their donation and to post them on the SANBS Facebook page or Twitter page.

“We are look forward to interacting much more with you in the future,” said Raju.
