Spray, shave or cut for Cansa at Carnival City

Join in the fun of the Cansa Shavathon.

Carnival City has hopped on board to support the 2015 Cansa Shavathon.

People keen to show their support for this fun-filled, yet meaningful annual cancer awareness and fund-raising event can venture down to the complex on February 28, to have their hair shaved, cut or sprayed.

“The Cansa Shavathon is one of South Africa’s best-supported and best-loved charity events,” said Michelle Smith, the marketing manager for Carnival City.

“Carnival City is proud to provide a place for people to come and to show solidarity with people affected by cancer and help generate funds.

“We encourage our community to come down and be part of this event by making a contribution to this worthy cause.”

This is the 12th year that the national Cansa Shavathon has been held and people will have the option to donate their ponytail, of 25cm in length, which will go toward making wigs for cancer patients in need, or purchase a Cansa wrap.

The cost of participating in the 2015 CANSA Shavathon is R50 for adults and R25 for children under 12 years of age.

Proceeds will go towards funding the care and support programmes that Cansa offers, mainly rendered at Cansa Care Centres.

The Cansa Shavathon stand, at the casino’s main entrance, will be open from 10am to 4pm.
