Detective’s dedication leads to conviction

Const Noxolo Ngqelene secures conviction.

Const Noxolo Ngqelene, a detective with the Primrose Police, recently secured a conviction for a 2012 murder.

The accused, Siphelele Tshangase, was found guilty of a murder which took place in the Makause informal settlement.

The 31-year-old was found guilty on the January 23, in the Germsiton Magistrates Court, and sentenced to ten years in prison.

Tshangase was also declared unfit to possess a fire arm.

The station commander, Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo, and his management team congratulated Ngqelene on her hard work and determination.

“It is through hard work and dedication we are able to achieve these successes,” said Khuzwayo.

“I encourage other members of our team to learn from Ngqelene.”
