Local club back at training

Ready for the year.

The Pilsung Taekwon Do club, Germiston, re-opened their doors for the year and are already hard at practise.

“We are back from our break, we started on January 13 with practise and are ready to take on the competitions ahead,” said club manager Carnelle Vorster.

Vorster added that there are other branches of the club in Kempton Park and Benoni, and that people from the age of three to 100 are welcome to join.

Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday, from 6.30pm to 8pm, at the Physique Gym, 1 Anna Road, in Lambton.

“Although we train at Physique Gym, we are independent of it and are only renting space there,” explained Vorster.

Bosabum Kobus Vorster has been the club’s new instructor for the past few months.

“We are excited and hope for great things in the year ahead,” said Vorster.

The club members are getting back into shape and are already preparing for their first competition, this year, which is scheduled to take place at the Primrose Wrestling Club, on March 7.

“The members are fully committed and focused on training for the Seventh Friendship Games, and I think we are going to produce impressive results,” concluded Vorster.
