Arrive Alive has issued two helpful tips on how to avoid criminals on the roads this festive season.
- Remain alert to any areas that might present a threat of criminal activity such as hijackings and smash-and-grab.
You can do this by researching the area you are travelling to – if you have not been before as well as taking note of warning signs in the area.
- Always place your valuables in the boot of your car.
Never leave items such as cell phones and wallets in open sight, unattended, or on the seat of a car either when you are travelling or when getting out of the vehicle.
