Man saved from angry group

Man found with dangerous weapon.

Primrose police arrested a 28-year-old man for possession of a dangerous weapon, last Tuesday.

The arrest was made in an area deemed a “hot spot” for common robbery, while police were on patrol in the area.

The officers noticed a group of people chasing a man.

Fearing that the group may kill the man, officers intervened.

They asked the man what he was doing and why the group had been chasing him, but he could not give a clear explanations.

He was searched and the officers found that he had a dangerous weapon wrapped in his jersey.

The man was arrested and is set to appear before the Germiston Magistrates Court soon, on charges of possession of a dangerous weapon.
