Primrose police wage war on crime

Forty-two suspects arrested by Primrose police.

The Primrose police recently released their arrest stats for the week of October 27 to November 2.

A total of 42 suspects were arrested for various crimes in the Primrose area during this week.

The crimes included:

  •  Possession of drugs: 5
  •  Common assault: 2
  •  Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 2
  •  Theft: 1
  •  Malicious damage to property: 3
  •  Business robbery: 4
  •  Conspiracy to commit a business robbery: 2
  •  Warrant of arrest: 4
  •  Common robbery: 1
  •  Shoplifting 1
  •  Soliciting/importuning for the purpose of sexual immorality: 3
  •  Murder: 1
  •  Housebreaking and theft: 2
  •  Possession of stolen property: 1
  •  Drunk and driving: 3
  •  Illegal immigrants: 7.

“The station commander Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo thanks everyone who contributed to these arrests.

“Col Khuzwayo and the Primrose police have declared war against crime in Primrose,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

Most suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
