Step-son arrested for housebreaking

Two men arrested for Dawnview housebreaking.

Two men, aged 20 and 28 respectively, were arrested by the Primrose police recently and charged with housebreaking and theft.

The arrest was made when the home’s owner called police and claimed that he had received a call from his daughter that there were people walking on the street with a television similar to his.

The man claims he had then rushed to his home to discover that he had been robbed.

“It was then that he claims he received a call from his son.

“His son claimed that he had found the TV, as well as a play station at his half-brother’s home,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

The man went to investigate for himself and upon arrival found his step-son with the stolen possessions.

The police were called to the scene, where they arrested the man.

After questioning the suspect and following several leads a second man was also arrested.

Both suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their case was postponed for plea and trial.
