Woman breaks down door to get to victim

Women threatens to rip victim's eyes out.

A woman was recently arrested in the Makause informal settlement, for the alleged assault of another woman.

Officers first heard of the incident on September 21, when the victim opened a formal case at the Primrose Police Station.

She explained to officers that she had been asleep at home when she thought she heard her boyfriend knocking on the door.

“To her surprise it was not her boyfriend, but rather the daughter of her landlady,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“The victim claims she closed the door, but that the accused broke it down, picked up a bottle and hit her on the head with it.

“It is further claimed that the accused threatened to take out the complainant’s eyes.

“We are appealing to our community to stop taking the law into their own hands and to report all criminal activities to the relevant departments.”

The woman was arrested by officers and appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where her case was postponed.
