Luso vs Alberton at Luso Africa’s home grounds

Luso's thrilling soccer game.

Hattingh Park hosted a fixture between Luso Africa FC’s third-side and Alberton FC’s A-team on Saturday.

The two senior teams rewarded the supporters with a display of fine football skills.

Alberton took time to warm up going into the game, and that delay was punished by Luso’s goal with just nine minutes into the first-half.

The goal rattled Alberton and forced them to resort to a robust defence line.

Fair play gave way for some time until Tony Ferreira, from Luso Africa, got sent off as a result of a foul on the goalkeeper.

Luso owned ball possession and shots on target, but had to up their game as they were down to ten players.

Alberton carried on with defence and their defence strategy saw the score of 1-0 to half-time.

A full-out defence was a temporary solution for Alberton as Luso managed to bag another goal through a header with minutes into the second-half.

Being in a 2-0 lead didn’t cause Luso to slack as they put out a fair defence, and kept attacking and frustrating a now defenceless Alberton team that was yet again punished, with another fine long-shot half-way through the second-half.

Just before the end-whistle, Luso landed another goal securing a clear lead and win of 4-0.
