Management contract for MMA fighter

Professional MMA fighter and EFC light heavyweight champion Gideon Drotschie has signed a fixed term sponsorship and business management agreement with specialist consultant Mat Barlett.

Since winning the EFC championship belt Drotschie has looked to add key people to an already successful and tight-knit fight team.

Barlett brings a strong business angle to the team and will concentrate on sponsors and business-related matters.

“We provide boutique-style custom sponsorship acquisition and management services to MMA athletes, which includes a multi-faceted marketing plan that benefits sponsors and fighters,” said Barlett.

“Our core focus is delivering measurable value for brands and to act as a facilitator ensuring a sustainable long term relationship for all parties involved.”

Drotschie lives in Cape Town and trains at the world class REPS MMA gym under legendary coaches Rico Hattingh and Gregor Weichmann.

He is currently in training to defend his title against Norman Wessels at Grand West Arena in November.

“I have recovered from my back injury and I am training hard, I am surrounded by a good team and I know I will beat him in November” Drotschie said when asked about the fight.
