With the help of CCTV footage, the Primrose police were able to arrest two diesel thieves.
Officers were first alerted to the theft when the owner of the business came into the Primrose Police Station to open a case of theft against the two men.
He explained that he had noticed that the trucks that the two men drove daily were using more diesel than normal, so he began to monitor the trucks and their drivers closely.
With the help of CCTV, the owner spotted the men draining diesel from their trucks, while the vehicles were parked in the company’s yard, in Actavia Road.
The two men were arrested on Friday, May 16, and appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their case was postponed for trial.
