Get involved in national fundraiser

Tekkie Tax Day is fast approaching.

We believe that “together we can achieve more than our individual efforts combined”.

This is the belief of the group of South African welfare organisations that have come together for this Tekkie Tax Day.

Tekkie Tax Day will held on Friday, May 30, nationwide.

Members of the public are asked to get a Tekkie Tax sticker for a R10 donation.

There are five different stickers, each representing a different beneficiary sector.

Depending on where your heart lies, you can choose from one of the five sectors; you are, of course, welcome to choose more than one.

The sectors are: Animals, Basic Family Care, Children, Disability and Education

“The aim is for the community to show their support by wearing the stickers they have purchased and their takkies on May 30,” said Janene de Beer.

“If they want to walk the extra mile, there are also special shoelaces called “Tekkie Tags” available.”

People, companies or schools who want to buy tickets can contact de Beer on 071 130 2863, or by email at debeer.janene@gmail.com.
