Two men nabbed for possession of a stolen car

Police arrest two men for possession of a stolen vehicle.

During a stop-and-search operation by the Primrose police, on Douglas Road, last Wednesday, two men were arrested for the possession of a stolen vehicle.

The arrests were made when officers noticed a suspicious-looking vehicle and pulled it over to search it.

“During the search they contacted the station to check the registration plates and vehicle status and found that the vehicle had, in fact, been stolen,” said Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The two men were arrested and transported to the Primrose Police Station.

“During the questioning and profiling process it was discovered that one of the men is also wanted by the Olifantsfontein SAPS, in connection with a housebreaking,” said Maome.

Both suspects were detained at the Primrose Police Station and will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
