Germiston High School has finished third in the Gauteng Canoe Union School League.
The last race of the year was held at Florida Lake, in Roodepoort, on November 16.
Participants from Germiston High, Colin Ledwaba and Spoon Mkhuzangwe, came first and second respectively, in the u-18 category at the final race.
Points are allocated for each finisher on a sliding scale in each age group, for both male and female paddlers; the points accumulate over the year and are credited to the school represented.
Bona High School, in Soweto, was placed first in the interschool competition, while Parktown Girls High School came second and Germiston High finished third on the log.
