Street Shower is an NPC based in Gauteng that offers mobile hot showers and personal hygiene care to those in need.

Local organisations collaborate for the greater good.

“The event began with praise and worship, followed by a short sermon. The participants could shower in the mobile unit and receive a set of clothing upon exiting,” explained Karin Visser from Fish and Bread Elsburg.

Other services offered included haircuts, warm meals with cold drinks and activities for children like face painting.

“The event was a great success. People sang in the showers, and everyone left with full stomachs, new hairstyles, and smiles on their faces,” Visser added.

She also highlighted the current struggles Elsburg residents face, stating, “We want to raise awareness that many people in our community are in dire need of help. Ordinary individuals are facing tough times.”
