East Rand Hospice fundraiser turns a success

Hospice East Rand’s Bring-a-Thing Spring Clean fundraiser, made possible through the generous support of St Benedict’s College, has been described as an overwhelming success.

This heartwarming initiative saw students, staff, and parents coming together to donate a wide range of items, from household goods to clothing, all of which will go a long way in supporting the vital work Hospice does in the community.

The fundraiser is an annual event where members of the community are encouraged to donate gently used items to Hospice East Rand’s charity shops.

Sales from the charity shops are a crucial source of funding for Hospice East Rand.

The NPO thanked St Benedict’s College for its incredible participation in this year’s event which resulted in a resounding success.

“We are truly grateful to St Benedict’s College for their unwavering support,” said Jonquil Siepman, media and marketing liaison for at Hospice East Rand.

“The generosity shown by the school community will make a real difference to the lives of those we care for. Every donation helps us maintain our services and extend comfort and dignity to our patients and their families.”

Hospice East Rand relies on the generosity of the community to sustain its work, and events like the Bring-a-Thing fundraiser not only help raise much-needed funds but also bring people together in the spirit of giving.
