Local players scoop awards in annual event
In addition, Zizi Royal Fc will be hosting trials for the upcoming season for SAFA Ekurhuleni Regional League Hollywood Bets U21 on August 17 at Elsburg Hoërskool starting at 09:00.
On Women's Day, Zizi Royal FC hosted its annual End-of-Season Awards, celebrating and honouring the outstanding performances of its players during the 2023/24 season.
The event, which highlighted the club’s commitment to excellence, was directed by Ntando Ngcobo and featured prominent guests including Fran-Hilton Smith, Dara Carroll, former brand manager at Kaizer Chiefs for over a decade and popular figure Themba Lukhele, also known as Skeem GP.
The award recipients were as follows:
• Goalkeeper of the season: Buhle Xabinisa
• Defender of the season: Ricardo Malele
• Midfielder of the season: Thabang Nthohla
• Players’ player of the season: Viwe Tom
• Top goal-scorer: Viwe Tom
• Footballer of the season: Ricardo Malele
In addition to the awards ceremony, Zizi Royal FC announced upcoming trials for the SAFA Ekurhuleni Regional League Hollywood Bets U21 for the 2024/25 season.
The trials are scheduled for August 17 at Hoërskool Elsburg, starting at 09:00.
Interested players are required to bring a copy of their ID and a valid clearance certificate.
