ā€œHe will be representing Gauteng and Vryburger at the nationals. My advice is that he must run at his own pace; he will get there, and the whole school is behind him,ā€ said coach Ruan de Lange.

He is one of the three athletes from Ekurhuleni South to attend the championships.

ā€œAs a school, we did well this year in athletics, as we had two students reach the provincials SA Schools Championships,ā€ said de Lange.

ā€œAs the season comes to an end, we are looking for new sponsors to sponsor us with training equipment, transport and new kits,ā€ said de Lange.
