The 18-year-old is passionate about music and soccer.

He recently launched his single, which is accessible on online music stores.

Mabele began playing soccer on the dusty streets of Boksburg and quickly discovered he was good at it.

“Lionel Messi, Diego Maradona, and Simphiwe Tshabalala are my role models. Tshabalala is a fantastic midfielder who can manage the ball like a wizard. His world cup opener goal from 2010 will be remembered for many generations.”

Mabele said that he is well supported by his parents.

“Drugs have been an issue in our neighbourhood. The only activity that allows the majority of us to avoid all of these problems is soccer as it teaches us discipline. Priority is placed on academic excellence in my team.

“I’ve been playing for Liverpool Development Club in Germiston for three years now. I put in a lot of effort, and people can always see I have talent.

“My goal is to play in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) within the next five years. My ultimate goal is to play for Mamelodi Sundowns FC and I have dreams of Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain FC.”

He takes part in soccer trials and continues to work hard on and off the field in pursuit of his dreams.

Mabele matriculated last year and is in search of a higher learning institution to enrol. Despite receiving good grades in his matric year, financial difficulties prevented him from enrolling in a university or college.

Academically, I’d like to pursue a degree in digital marketing or sports management. Once I hang up my boots, I want to work as a sports therapist.”

Lucky Muthelo, coach of the soccer club, identified Mabele as the team’s u-19 attacking midfielder who was previously a winger.
