Twelve schools have entered Bedford Centre’s Eggs-Hibition competition, which will run from March 27 to April 14.
The schools include Edenglen High School, Reddam House, Bedfordview High School, Primrose High School, Crawford International, Queens High School, Sacred Heart, Holy Rosary School, Saheti School, Elandspark School, Assumption Convent School and St Benedict’s College.
Each school received a one-metre-high egg to decorate. The brief was to be creative and enjoy crafting an exquisite design that is ‘eye-catching and expressive’.

The centre’s Jenny Griesel said, “We are ‘eggs-cited’ to announce that we will fill our halls with chocolate, cheer and charming installations this Easter.”
Additional to the speckled dot installation currently on view, the centre will be hosting an Easter ‘eggs-hibition’ featuring the giant Easter eggs, decorated by the 12 schools.
“The result is a collection of striking creations which represents the diverse voices of the youth and their artistic talent.”
The centre’s speckled-dot art installation is in front of the escalators on the lower level.
Inspired by Japanese avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama, shoppers are welcome to enjoy this vibrant experience by changing a white space into a flamboyant one using colourful dot stickers.
