Local dart players score bullseye at championships

This will be the first time the championships are being held in over two years.

With the start of the South African National Darts Championships held at the Standard Bank Arena, Emperors Palace hosted members of the Ekurhuleni South Darts Association.

The Palace of Dreams sponsored the ESDA team, which included residents of Edenvale, Germiston and Kempton Park, accommodation and transportation to and from the championship.

Edenvale resident Wayne Ellis, who is a member of the Ekurhuleni South Darts Association team, lines up a shot on the dart board.

This will be the first time the championships are being held in over two years.

According to the president of the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee, Barry Hendricks, who officially opened the event, the championships were one of the biggest sporting events to occur in SA since Covid-19 pandemic regulations were lifted.
