KenCare express appreciation for the Christmas donations

A Bedfordview-based company Huang Attorneys hosted a Christmas lunch at the De Wetshof Retirement Village in Kensington.

A Bedfordview-based company Huang Attorneys hosted a Christmas lunch at the De Wetshof Retirement Village in Kensington.

The company partnered with kenCare and KRRA to bring a little joy to the retirement village.

“The past two years been tough on many because of the pandemic and we wanted to give hope to those in need through the Christmas lunch,” said Albert Huang from Huang Attorneys.

He said they supported KenCare and KRRA because they are always willing to assist the community where they can.

In June last year, KRRA together with Huang Attorneys donated a total of 14 000 face masks and 50l of hand sanitiser to Kencare, Flower Foundation Retirement Home, Avlon Home for the Disabled and four different primary schools namely Jeppe Preparatory Primary, Kensington Ridge Primary, Leicester Road Primary and Eastgate Primary School.

In December KenCare together with KRRA organised the Christmas Festive Challenge where they received donations from various organisations, companies and individuals.

“We would like to thank all those generous donations. We appreciate it because it made a difference in someone’s life,” said Abert.

The team that spread festive cheers at the De Wetshof Retirement Village.

The donation consisted of 300kg of chicken pieces, 280kg of rice, 280 food parcels and toiletries gifts, which went to 270 families.

“I would like to thank you for helping us make a positive difference in our community. A thnak you also to all the volunteers and people who gave their time, may you get tired from giving and doing good,” said Albert.
