The Itemba management has welcomed this donation and said it has come at the right time of the year.

“This is definitely the highlight of the year for me, apparently at some homes residents only get two rolls each month and it’s not enough.

“The foundation also donates peanut butter sandwiches every week and this is the second time they have donated such a large quantity of toilet paper,” said Jenny Scheigansz, head of the soup kitchen.

Jenny Scheigansz welcomes donations of toilet rolls from Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation.

“The donation follows after making up 150 parcels for old age home residents quite a while ago and the most surprising thing was how the elderly raved about the roll of toilet paper. We realised there is a need.

“I shared this on Facebook and that’s when the foundation decided that they would help out.

“Rolls will be donated to 65 residents of Kinross Herberg Old Age Home and 15 residents of Della Villa,” said Scheigansz.
