The tournament aims to develop and promote young talent from the grassroots level.

According to Muzi Sibiya, co-organiser, the tournament will feature strictly u-15s teams, with 16 teams to compete against each other.

“We urge that teams bring forth u-15 players because there would be scouts on the pitch from academies.

“We have invited academies to scout talent at its level best,” said Sibiya and added it would be a pity if a player would be scouted and his age doesn’t correspond.

“Coaches and players must be faithful, let them not cheat by bringing older players so they can win the tournament. That would not prove to be fair to a lot of players. The academies are looking for u-15 players that will be playing in their u-17 teams next year. The tournament promises prizes trophies and club jerseys.

“We have trophies and medals and a new jersey kit to award to teams and players. There is a first prize, second prize and third position prize.

“Players will be awarded player of the tournament, goalkeeper of the tournament and top goal scorer prizes,” said Sibiya.
