The City of Ekurhuleni wishes to inform residents of Germiston and parts of Alberton that the water supply interruption, which was scheduled for the coming weekend has been postponed.

Rand Water was due to conduct maintenance work and tie-ins on its pipeline from 12 to 14 November, thus affecting the water supply to Albemarle, Dinwiddie, Wadeville, Germiston East Industrial, Castleview, Lambton, Raceway Industrial, and Gosforth Park.

A new date for the work will be communicated in due course. Meanwhile, residents of the city are advised that they will not be affected by Rand Water’s planned 54-hour shutdown from Monday 15 November.

The plant that is being maintained does not directly affect CoE operations, and any change to the Rand Water plans will be communicated to the city’s customers.
