Johannesburg Flying Squad members arrested eight suspects for different crimes in different areas in Johannesburg and recovered one hijacked vehicle and one stolen motorcycle from September 4 to 7.

Johannesburg Flying Squad members arrested eight suspects for different crimes in different areas in Johannesburg and recovered one hijacked vehicle and one stolen motorcycle from September 4 to 7.

Among the eight suspects arrested, two suspects were arrested for possession of suspected stolen motorcycle, one suspect for possession of dangerous weapon, one for possession of housebreaking implements, one for driving under the influence of alcohol, one for malicious damage to property and two suspects for possession of drugs.

One of the vehicles recovered is a white VW Polo and the other a Black Big-boy motorcycle that was recovered stolen.

Johannesburg Flying Squad communication officer, Raymond Sambo said investigation continues in all cases.

“SAPS appreciates the public for their contribution. It should also be noted that for any information regarding the vehicles, people may contact the relevant detective quoting the relevant case number.

“All eight suspects, aged between 25 and 37, appeared in different magistrate’s courts facing charges of possession of suspected stolen motorcycle, possession of dangerous weapon, possession of housebreaking implements, malicious damage to property and possession of drugs,” he said.
