One male offender was arrested in Katlehong by the EMPD Speed Law Enforcement Unit on September 5.
EMPD spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng said patrolling EMPD officers from the Katlehong North precinct stopped a suspicious-looking 38-year-old in Moleleki section, where a toy gun replica of a 9mm parabellum gun was seized.
“As the suspect was handed over to SAPS in Katlehong, one of the detectives recognised him from the identikit as the wanted suspect in a murder case, which occurred in Phooko section on August 30 where a male victim was shot and killed, following a family dispute,” said Mokheseng.

Mokheseng added the suspect is expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
