Kasie Outreach helps a family who lost their home in a fire

"The family reached out to us after they lost everything. It was heartbreaking."

Kasie Outreach is a NPO and faith-based organisation that gives back to the underprivileged residing Ekurhuleni informal settlements.

The NGO provides food hampers and clothing monthly.

On July 28, the NGO donated towards the Mcithakali family of five from Delville, who lost their belongings in a fire on July 5.

Programme leader Simphiwe Malunga said the family contacted them, requesting help.

“The family reached out to us after they lost everything. It was heartbreaking.

“We decided to donate the basics so they can get back on their feet,” said Malunga.

The family is homeless.

“We invite others to also get involved in helping. Kasie Outreach relies mainly on donations from its donors and funds from its members.”
