The suspect was arrested on a charge of defeating the ends of justice after she reported that her vehicle had been hijacked on May 21, when it was allegedly at her cousin’s house to be sold.

“It is reported the suspect took the vehicle to her cousin and told him to sell it,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“She allegedly told him she would report that the vehicle had been hijacked.

“Her cousin became scared when he saw a Tracker vehicle driving past his home and decided to abandon the vehicle far from his house.

“He reportedly told the suspect where he had abandoned the vehicle and told her to collect it.”
