Covid-19: Ward 36 councillor urges community to stay home

Ward 36 councillor Wendy Morgan encourages residents to be considerate and patient during the 21-day lockdown.

Wendy Morgan, Ward 36 councillor writes:

It is a sad time for our country and for the world, but these lockdown measures have been put in place for everyone’s safety.

I appeal to the community to take this matter seriously and adhere to the restrictions that have been put in place.

Please be considerate to everyone and work together.

If you have an elderly neighbour, please try and assist them so they do not have to go out.

However, if you are unable to help them, please give them my contact details and I will see if I can assist.

The metro will still be supplying essential services, including waste collection during the lockdown, and I am available to assist with service delivery issues.

I can be reached on my cellphone, 072 963 9675.

I encourage residents to make sure their municipal accounts are paid seven days before the due date to avoid disconnection.

Payments can be made directly into the metro’s bank account.
