Covid-19: How has Covid-19 changed your daily life?

What precautions have you been taking against Covid-19.

Since President Cyril Ramaphosa’s declaration of a National State of Disaster on March 15, the country has been taking extra precautions to combat the spread of Covid-19.

We asked residents how their daily lives have changed?

Mayor Mzwandile Masina: “I work and meet with people every day. It has changed how I interact with people. I do not shake hands or hug people anymore. I’m more careful of who I let come close to me. It’s difficult because of my work, but I try to protect myself.”

Clr Vivian Chauke: “I have not allowed the virus to change my everyday living, but it has made me cautious. I make sure I protect myself, but also encourage those around me to protect themselves, especially children. I always remind them to wash their hands. But I try to live my life as normally as possible and not obsess.”

Patricia Mogaila: “As a health promoter, it has not changed that much because hygiene is second nature to me. But I now just try to educate people about the importance of hygiene and encourage them to be more cautious.”
