Simmer enjoy rugby day wins

Germiston Simmer Rugby Club honed their skills at the Brakpan Rugby Club’s Rugby Day and the Nigel Rugby Club’s Rugby Day ahead of the 2020 season.

During Brakpan Rugby Club’s recent rugby day, the club celebrated two wins and a draw.

The club’s results were:

• Simmer’s u-20 team faced Benoni Rugby Club and won 26-19.

• Simmer’s second team faced Brakpan Rugby Club and drew 26-26.

• Simmer’s first team faced Edenvale Rugby Club and won 80-0.

At the Nigel Rugby Club’s Rugby Day, held last Saturday, the club won all of their matches.

• Simmer’s u-20 team faced Nigel Rugby Club and won 36-10.

• Simmer’s third team faced Elsburg Rugby Club’s second team and won 40-7.

• Simmer’s second team faced Nigel Rugby Club and won 40-7.

• Simmer’s first team faced Springs Rugby Club’s second team and won 7-3.

All practices at the club have been cancelled as a preventative measure against the spread of Covid-19, further matches have also been postponed and will only continue after April 25.
