Katlehong North SAPS puts community’s safety first

Katlehong North SAPS held a door-to-door awareness campaign in the Goba and Ngema sections of their precinct.

Officers from the Katlehong North Police Station, with the help of community patrollers, took to the streets of the Goba and Ngema sections in a door-to-door awareness campaign on Tuesday.

The focus of the campaign was to address several problem crimes in the areas, including child abuse, child neglect and domestic violence.

The team handed out safety tip pamphlets to the community during the campaign.

“During our visit, police and patrollers engaged with residents and proposed a strategy, which aims to achieve more effective crime control in the area, improve police service and legitimacy and also improve crime-causing conditions,” said Capt Lesetja Mathobela, communications officer for the Katlehong North police.

The Katlehong North SAPS has committed themselves to ensuring the safety of the community.
