Visualise your dream to make it a reality

Local entrepreneurs recently gathered at Hirsch’s Meadowdale to attend the monthly business networking meeting with ActionCOACH’s business coach Elsa Groenewald as the guest speaker.

The subject under discussion at the workshop centred on setting your future.

“You need to know where you are going to end up,” said Groenewald.

“The question is, what direction do you need to travel in to get there?”

Groenewald gave the following pointers regarding a company vision:

• Start with the end in mind.

• This must be something almost unattainable, like reaching the farthest star.

• It should be set years in the future.

• Set the vision of being the best in your industry, in your region or even the world.

The event ended with visualisation.

“Focus on a dream day and night to make it a reality in your mind, only then can it become a reality in life.

“When you’re truly committed, it’s amazing what happens to create your new reality,” said Groenewald.

Networkers were also given the opportunity to present themselves and their businesses in a 60-second elevator pitch.

This was followed by a lucky draw, networking, sharing of business cards and the enjoyment of refreshments.
