Hoërskool Primrose High School principal André Grobler commended Matsidiso Hlongwane on her hard work and dedication.
The GCN spoke to Hlongwane, who achieved distinctions in mathematics, life orientation, computer application technology, life sciences and physical sciences, while she collected her certificate from the school.

“I am very proud of myself,” Hlongwane said.
“I didn’t think I would get five distinctions. I was only aiming for three, but I am very happy with the five.”
Hlongwane plans to study chemical engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand, in Johannesburg.
When asked why she would like to pursue this career, Hlongwane explained, “I want to invent things and feel chemical engineering will allow me to do this.”
