Six reasons not to miss next year’s Rand Show

"We embarked on a journey to refresh the brand and ensure we offer more than what we have ever offered before."

A legacy show and one unique to South Africa is the annual Rand Show.

Taking place over the Easter weekend next year, the Rand Show is taking things up a few levels. Celebrating 126 years next year promises to be six times better.

Keeping in line with the power of six, it will be held over six days with six vibrant zones to discover.

The man behind all the ideas and the energy is the CEO of Johannesburg Expo Centre, Craig Newman.

“I don’t want to take the credit for the fact that this is all my ideas. This year, we have a really dynamic team. We started the move of re-branding the Rand Show last year, but this year we have brought in a whole lot more new energy, new ideas, colours and enthusiasm.

“I can feel the change. To prepare for next year, we took a listen to the visitors and found out what they want as that is an important ingredient to a successful show. We embarked on a journey to refresh the brand and ensure we offer more than what we have ever offered before. The Rand Show is actually your Rand Show, hence #MyRandshow.”

Here are six reasons to visit the Rand Show:

1. Make new memories and discover more.

2. It’s a family affair, so no one gets left behind.

3. Quality and exceptional products on offer.

4. A very unique experience.

5. Targeting more and different audiences.

6. Making the Rand Show yours with #MyRandShow.

Six new zones will get you going on an adventure. Think of it as an experience.

Experience the Play Zone, meet your favourite icy characters from Frozen 2, find your superpower or train to be a superhero.

Business development manager of the Foodie Zone Sihle Dube mentioned what we can expect.

“We are going to have the Jacaranda Clash of the Kitchens. A very exciting new feature is a gin bar. We are also introducing an organic farmers market.”

Influencers will be able to enjoy the Lifestyle and Retail Zone with Suzelle DIY, while thrillseekers can visit the Outdoor Zone and Entertainment Zone with a variety of live performances by SA talent and the exhilarating Ndlovu Youth Choir.

Lastly, the SA Zone is one to look out for with a number of departments visiting and Gauteng attractions. An added bonus is that you can get your South African smart ID right at the SA Zone.
