With the ever-increasing prices they are looking at a monthly running cost per family of about R8 100 per month.
In 2018, Amcare worked on a monthly running cost to look after about seven families (mom and two children excluding baby).
• Travel – R299.90
• Water and electricity – R513.59
• Food supplies – R1 082.64
• Clothing and toiletries – R291.40
• Cleaning materials – R50.36
• School supplies – R339
• Variable costs for woman and two children – R7 223.72
• Variable including a baby under 18 months – R450.55 additional to family cost per month
With the ever-increasing prices they are looking at a monthly running cost per family of about R8 100 per month (increase with inclusion of a baby additional R518.13) – this excludes the overheads for staff and communication.
