Margaret Hirsch visits Caxton Radio

Margaret Hirsch was recently interviewed on Caxton Radio.

Margaret Hirsch, COE of the Hirsch Group and a champion of women’s empowerment, was recently interviewed on Caxton Radio.

The station has a new home at Emperors Palace.

Margaret has become a leading example for businesswomen in South Africa.

She came from a humble background and co-founded and runs the multi-million Rand appliance and electronic retail organisation, Hirsch’s.

“What I love in our industry is seeing two and sometimes three generations of the same family coming through our doors to furnish their homes with us,” Margaret said.

“Keeping our customers happy and providing them with a unique, hands on service has helped our business grow and we are continuously finding ways to improve on our service to them.”

“Over the years, Margaret has been recognised for the good work she has done in the business community throughout South Africa, helping aspiring entrepreneurs to reach their goals and motivating school girls from underprivileged areas to attend school on a regular basis with the Girls With Dignity project,” said Hirsch’s Meadowdale’s public relations officer Chantelle du Plessis.

Caxton Radio is a hyper-local online streaming radio station playing on Caxton Local Media news websites across Ekurhuleni.

“Since the launch on March 1, we have had about 500 000 streamers per month,” said Paul Rotherham, Caxton Radio station manager.

The station focuses on sport, business, current affairs, community success stories, music, local profiles, finances and much more.

“Caxton Radio is here to connect Caxton local newspaper readers with numerous business owners and highlight community events, social functions and other initiatives in Ekurhuleni,” said Chantelle.
