“Representatives from the Department of Health, Department of Social Development, Sassa, the EMPD and various other non-governmental organisations attended the event,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose Police Station, who also attended the event.

“Each representative took the time to explain what their organisation did within the community and how the community could reach them.

“The EMPD and SAPS spoke to the community about crime within the area and how these crimes can be reported and prevented.

“A number of safety tip pamphlets were handed out to community members.”

The Primrose SAPS Crime Prevention Youth Desk entertained attendees with plays.

“The day went well,” said Maome.
