EMPD assigns two new directors to auxiliary services division

The auxiliary services division of the EMPD boasts two new directors.

The EMPD has filled two directorship posts under the auxiliary services division.

The former acting directors were appointed at a ceremony at the EMPD headquarters in Kempton Park.

ā€œThe appointed duo specialise in honesty and for being loyal to the organisation,ā€ said Kobeli Mokheseng, media liaison officer for the EMPD.

ā€œTheir 17 and 34 years of experience in administration, management, operations, and their clean record within the municipality, speaks volume.ā€

ā€œAs your appointments are with effect from October 1, remain as faithful as you are and be role models to the recently appointed recruits, as well as continue to render service to members of the community.

ā€œSince you are occupying these crucial positions, trust is in my vocabulary because of your experience and dedication,ā€ said chief of police Isaac Jabulani Mapiyeye.

Director Ndumiso Gcwabe, who started in 2002 under the eastern region (Benoni) and later progressed to the EMPD Training Academy, has been in the law enforcement environment for 17 years.

He will remain responsible for the academy.

Director Johnny van der Merwe, with 34 years of experience within the municipality under the law enforcement sector, remains at the EMPD Logistics Unit.

Both directors report under the auxiliary services of the EMPD.
