Sylvie makes National SAFBAF angling team

Young angler continues to make her mark.

Hazeldene’s angling sensation Sylvie Richards (13) has done it again.

After winning her zones two days in a row at the National Trials in December, last year, Sylvie was selected to participate in the national South African Fresh Water Bank Angling Federation (SAFBAF) National Junior u-13 Tour 2019 in September.

The three days of fierce competition at Sloep, in Bloemhof, earned Sylvie a third-place position in her team of seven anglers in the u-13 young ladies section.

This feat enabled her to qualify for the National SAFBAF team for the SAFBAF Fest 2020, which will take place at the end of January, next year.

Sylvie is very proud of her achievement and is looking forward to her next challenge, which will be the annual National Angling Championships in December.
