“The learners decided to support the Germiston SPCA as part of the assignment,” explained Brenda Vosloo (head of department for life orientation).

“The children had to either raise funds or collect dog or cat food for the SPCA.

“Even though a lot of the learners are scared of dogs, they all participated in the project and donated food or money, with some of the learners even donating their own lunch money to the project.”

Brenda was proud of all the learners.

“I am very proud of all of my learners who, despite their own financial situations at home, still found it in their hearts to donate to animals in need,” she said.

The project also aimed to raise awareness among all the Primrose High School learners and the community about how important it is to give back to the community.

Brenda, Grade 10 life orientation teacher Hendrik Roux and learners Michell Beeby, Alyssa Hendriks, Boitumelo Mantsie and Jeremiah Radebe delivered the donation to the SPCA on Friday morning.
