Senior citizens invited to enjoy activities during Older Persons Week

Germiston Association for the Aged has a jam-packed week of activities planned.

Older Persons Week is celebrated from September 30 to October 6.

To mark the week and celebrate the elderly, Germiston Association for the Aged (GAFA) is holding events throughout the week for senior citizens.

The week promises to be a fun-filled affair and senior citizens are invited to come along and join in the festivities.

The programme will run as follows:

• September 30: Walk, 10am, meet on the grass in front of reception at GAFA Protea Old Age Home situated on the corner of Churchill Avenue and Tulip Road, Primrose.

• October 1: Bingo, 1.30pm, at the Protea Old Age Home recreation hall.

• October 2: Clive Bruce concert, 10am, at the Dutch Reformed Church Cachet hall in Thistle Road, Primrose.

• October 3: Church service, 10am, at the Protea Old Age Home recreation hall.

• October 4: Fun Day with games, 10am, on the grass in front of reception at the Protea Old Age Home.

• October 5: Fête, 9am to 1pm, on the grass in front of reception at the Protea Old Age Home.
