Nineteen suspects were arrested in Katlehong last Tuesday for various offences.
The accused were arrested during a stop-and-search operation conducted by members of the Katlehong SAPS Crime Prevention Unit, with the help of detectives from the Katlehong Police Station.

Charges included assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, malicious damage to property, intimidation, armed robbery, common robbery, fraud, bribery, theft, contravening a protection order, dealing in drugs and possession of drugs.
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for a number of different reasons.
Katlehong SAPS station commander Brig Sammy Tambo urged residents to help police in the fight against crime and report criminal activities in their communities.
