Breaking News: Man and woman found dead in Mimosa Park

Elsburg SAPS find man and woman lying in pools of blood in Mimosa Park home.

Elsburg police have confirmed they have opened an inquest docket, following the death of a man (56) and woman (60).

Police were called to Rautenbach Street, in Mimosa Park, at 1.33pm today (Monday).

“When officers arrived on scene they found the man dead in the bedroom and the woman behind the door in the kitchen,” said Const Daphney Phooko, communications officer for the Elsburg police.

“Both were found in a pool of blood and a knife was recovered from the scene.

“Paramedics on the scene alleged that the incident may have taken place over the weekend.

“It is not yet clear if this is a murder-suicide or double murder.”

It is reported that the gardener called police after seeing blood that had seeped out from under the kitchen door.
