Women and young girls are warned not to roam around alone late at night.
The SAPS has issued the following tips to women to help prevent rape:
- Girls are warned not to go around late at night.
- They must avoid the company of men they don’t know.
- If they have to walk in the streets, they must walk where there are lights.

- They must avoid walking alone at night.
- They must avoid walking in dark passages.
- They must always scream for help if attacked.
- They must avoid deserted areas where they are no people.
