Katlehong North SAPS strive to keep their precinct safe

Katlehong North police share their successes.

Katlehong North police, with the help of the EMPD, recently arrested 22 suspects in their precinct.

The arrests were made during several police operations aimed at ensuring the safety of the community.

The accused were charged with various offences.

Charges included driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drugs, shoplifting, malicious damage to property and dealing in liquor without a licence.

Two illegal taverns were also closed during the operations and volumes of alcohol seized.

All of the suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.

Katlehong North SAPS station commander Col Reginah Rampota congratulated the officers involved following the arrests.

She further pleaded with the communities at large to work hand in hand with the police in order to keep their communities safe.

She also encouraged residents to never take the law into their own hands.
