Print Exclusive: Blankets to beat the winter chill

The Vroue Landbou-Unie’s Dinwiddie branch members donated 67 blankets to SAVF Die Anker residents.

In keeping with tradition, the Vroue Landbou-Unie’s (VLU) Dinwiddie branch visited SAVF Die Anker, on Thursday, to deliver a special donation.

The 20-member strong group donated 67 knitted or crocheted blankets to the Germiston South home’s residents to help keep them warm this winter.

The blankets were delivered to the home by VLU members Priscilla Atkins and Ria van den Tillard and chairperson Magrieta van der Walt and accepted by a grateful Martie Otten, manager of the home.
